One of the features of the miniExtensions Form is the ability to prefill Airtable fields. This way, the user doesn’t have to fill out every field themselves, but instead they can focus on those that actually matter to them.
There are several ways to prefill Airtable fields using the miniExtensions Form:
- Prefilling through the form URL: This is the most common use case where you add a prefill parameter to the end of the form’s URL to prefill an Airtable field
- Prefilling hidden fields: Prefilled fields don’t have to be visible on the form!
- Prefilling new records via the form settings: If all Airtable records created by a certain form need the same values filled out in some fields, you can set the prefill in the form’s settings instead of using the URL, which makes the prefill entirely invisible to the user!

You can also set the form up to be submitted automatically after prefill, which can allow your users to update a record with just one click, and therefore greatly streamlines the workflow!
